SYNLAB PROVENCE OPENS THE WORLD OF OPERA TO ITS EMPLOYEES

In the summer of 2021, during the throes of the pandemic, the Festival d’Aix turned to SYNLAB Provence to implement COVID testing among its staff. Thanks to this collaboration, SYNLAB Provence, France’s leading medical laboratory, made its first foray into the world of opera. Always eager to promote personal development among his fellow employees, the lab’s CEO, Dr Sofiane Benhabib, seized the opportunity to get his teams involved in a completely new project. As a result, the company, which recognises that culture and music are vectors for social ties, has decided to sponsor the Club Campra for 2022, in order to deepen this partnership while remaining true to its commitment to the region.

THE CERCLE INCISES: COMMITTED TO CREATING OPERA

The Cercle Incises unites over a dozen major individual donors or foundations who are passionate about contemporary creation. This year, three productions will be supported by the Cercle Incises, including Pascal Dusapin’s Il Viaggio, Dante. The Circle was founded in 2020 after INCISES — a component of the Festival’s programming focused on today’s music — had been launched. It offers philanthropists a unique opportunity to be associated with the process of artistic creation, like veritable coproducers. The Cercle Incises allows donors to provide support over several years and to follow the work of creative teams step by step.

THE CLUB DES MÉCÈNES IS SUPPORTING THE CAREER OF ELSA DREISIG

For the first time, the Club des Mécènes is supporting the career of a young female artist: the Franco-Danish soprano Elsa Dreisig. She debuted at the Festival as an Académie artist and then in Carmen in 2017. The Club des Mécènes will be supporting her in 2022 as she takes on the title role in Salome. The Club des Mécènes unites a group of over 200 donors of all nationalities who are passionate about the Festival and wish to help promote it in France and abroad. In support of Elsa Dreisig, they will participate in a series of conferences structured around her career, her personality and her commitment.
